Competitions
Taitaja2012 -The Finnish National Skills Competition in Jyväskylä
The competition will be held at the Paviljonki Congress and Trade Fair Centre in Jyväskylä on 24 - 26 April 2012.
Students under the age of 20, or who turn 20 during the competition year, are allowed to participate in the competition.
In the demonstration categories, the students will not compete for the Finnish championship titles. Before a category can be made an actual competition category, it is field-tested for a couple of years.
TaitajaPLUS
TaitajaPLUS is a vocational skill competition for students with special needs. The minimum age for participants is 15 while no maximum age limit is set.
Taitaja9
Taitaja9 is a competition for 9th graders of comprehensive schools in craftsmanship. The aim of the competition is to improve knowledge of practical subjects, particularly of technical, textile work and home economics subjects, in a fun and inspiring way.
